NDS Show on Sunday

If anyone is looking for something fun and free to do on Sunday the 22nd annual NDS Carriage show is at Northampton Park next to Springdale Farm

Cotton and I will be competing for our first time this year.  If you have ever been curious about driving and want to stop by and see us you’re more than welcome to.  I’ll be happy to answer any questions about harnessing, hitching, and how to get started teaching your horse to drive.    If you wan to find us we’re the ones with the green Chevy truck and the old grey 2 horse trailer.

Hope to see you there!

RTR Fun Ride - June 14th

Rochester Trail Riders Fun Ride # 2

Date:  June 14th

Time: 10am we ride

Where: Mendon Ponds Park

Level: Medium to hard – trail lengths vary – hilly

The first ride was a great success.  I see our horses are eager for something a little more challenging and the hills at Mendon I’m sure will do the trick.  There are tons of trails to ride once there and we can decide on which ones to take as a group.  I’ve only ridden there once so if someone with more trail time at the park would like to lead this ride please let me know.

If you’ve already mailed in your forms you’re all set to attend this ride.  If I don’t have them, please go to the Forms Page for more information.

Our first ride!

Thank you to everyone who made our first RTR a safe and successful one!  We couldn’t have planned for a better day.  The weather was warm, yet cool enough to ride in and the lack of bugs was prime.

I can’t wait for our next one in a few weeks.  Stay tuned for time and location.

RTR Fun Ride - May 24th

Rochester Trail Riders
Fun Ride!

  • Date: Saturday May 24th
  • Time: 10am – We start to ride at this time
  • Where: Genesee Valley Greenway - Brook Rd
  • Level: Easy – 6 miles – flat and wide trails, good footing

Welcome to the 1st RTR Fun Ride!

Our first ride is to help get your horses ready for the summer season.  The ride will go South on the Greenway to 383 and back which is approximately 6miles / ~2hr ride.  Most of it will be walking and the decision for a faster pace will be based on the fitness level of the horses this early in the season.

Please remember to mail me your Waiver2008 and a copy of your coggins/rabies to be kept on file for 2008..  Yes that’s right you only have to send it to me once and it’s good for all RTR events!  Please note you will not be allowed to unload your horse if I do not have a copy on file.  The Medical2008 form is only if you are sponsoring a child under 18 who you are NOT the legal guardian or parent of.
