Looking for a fun family outing Sunday June 3rd that’s Free?  Come to the NDS driving show! Located next to Springdale Farm in Spencerport this show has been a long standing event for over 20 years!

How to get there:
- 490 to 531
- At end of 531 take a LEFT (RT 36 Washington St)
- At flashing light make a RIGHT (Colby St)
- At stop sign make RIGHT
- Find a parking spot.

The show starts at 8am and runs to about 4:30 - 5pm.  Many classes of horses from mini’s to drafts, singles to pairs and don’t forget the fast and exciting cones classes!

Bring a chair to sit on and a hat or umbrella for rain or too much sun. Pack a lunch or there is a wonderful food vendor on site should you feel the craving for a hotdog or icecream.   Please leave your puppies home.  Barking dogs and horses seldom mix and we’d hate for someone to wreck or lose a class because their horse spooked.

Interested in meeting me?  I’ll be the Ring Master for the morning classes and scribe in the afternoon.  Can’t miss me I’m 6′2″!

Davidson Knoll Farm is doing their 3rd annual Trail Trail to benefit the EquiCenter. Last year Hobbie and I proudly took last place in the Trail Boss devision. I will be riding in her memory this year.

The 2007 Events page has a good start. Check it out at the above link for Rochester, NY and surrounding area Open Horse shows, Hunter Paces, Trail Trials and more! Most of them are LOW stress events.

Trail Trials - It’s a trail ride with judged obstacles. Get judged for things you normally find yourself doing on a trail. Crossing a creek, walking over a bridge, backing out of a dead end and more!

Hunter Paces - Get from Point A to Point B in the best time. Jumps are usually optional and trails range in difficulty and length. I love these!

Open Shows - Attica has great monthly open horse shows. Low key and friendly atmosphere make these enjoyable and not a chore. Also, don’t forget about your county fair. I had a blast at the Caledonia Fair doing games, Trail and more. What fun and low stress. Jeans, a polo shirt, boots and a helmet was I used.
