The 1 sunny day we had on Saturday and you can already see the flies are a bother.
Ok so I’ve decided to do a little video today instead of a photo. I just can’t help it. My little filly is finally home and this was her very first turnout into our pastures. She’s a sassy little stinker!
Fay just LOVES the new Paddock Paradise track that leads from the barn to the far pasture. She races up and down it just for the shear fun of running. A moving horse is a happy horse.
Foal Watch:
It is 7:38pm Tuesday 4/5 as I’m writing this post. As of this exact moment my mare is still holding on to her foal. However, she is dripping milk and all the muscles in her rump are soft, we are pretty sure she will foal tonight. So for our photo this week I give you Cotton, the not so pregnant looking pregnant Moriesian mare.

Scratch that… the above photo is a horse in full labor! at 7:44pm I got a call saying she was foaling, at 7:55 I was back at the barn and we totally missed the whole birth! It’s a GIRL! No name yet.

Hello Calculus!
Calculus was the first horse I ever financially owned. I leased him for 6 months to see if I could manage the finances of owning a horse myself. He was a great first horse to own and HUGE! Calc stands in at 17.2 hh and is a Trakehner.
