‼️ATTENTION! Genesee Valley Greenway is closed from Short Tract to Portageville until trails assessments can be performed.

🚧Due to the severe storm damage we are closing the Parade Grounds area, including D & E Cabins, & Parade grounds pavilion, until the end of their season for safety.

🚧Starting Monday, August 24th, the York Landing Parking Area and the trail north for about a mile from the lot (mile markers 23-24) will be closed until September 21st, 2026, for vital repairs.
🚫PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE PARKING LOT EVEN IF YOU PLAN TO HEAD SOUTH. WE WILL BE RECEIVING MATERIAL THROUGHOUT THE NEXT 4 WEEKS.
🚗Please do not park on the road or in front of the barricades.

Monroe County Parks will be hosting the engineering firm EDR on August 20th, 4pm edition of the Monroe County Parks Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting at the Knollwood Lodge in Northampton Park.
One of the agenda items has EDR reviewing the Northampton Trail Feasibility Study results. They may entertain questions and comments but it is a way to show your interest in the decisions our Monroe County Parks Department is making.

Trails are streams and ponds with all the rain. I walked my dog through there this morning. Multiple bridges are unstable on the red trail and the unnamed trails on purple and red.

Red trail: Several new low hanging and down trees that you have to dismount to fit under or have to find new ways around (down trees too big to step over).

All County and State Parks are Soup with spring mud and rain. Please stay off trail and stick to greenways until mud season is over.
